Celine Abboud

As a committed medical student with a strong foundation in anatomy, pathology, and other key areas of medicine, I am eager to apply my academic knowledge in a clinical setting. I seek to observe patient interactions and treatment strategies employed by experienced physicians to bridge the gap between theory and practice. Additionally, I have a keen interest in research and am actively involved in projects that enhance my understanding of medical science. My goal is to deepen my clinical skills, contribute to evidence-based practice, and gain practical insights that will shape me into a compassionate and capable physician.

• Completed a 15-hour workshop titled Research Excellence Course, organized and conducted by the MedExplora Scientific Research Society.

• Public Health Research, HIV Stigma Study, Yerevan, Armenia (November 2024 - Current)
  
  Conducted a research study on HIV stigma by designing and distributing surveys among patients to gather critical data. Collaborated with teammates to systematically collect and analyze responses, producing visual representations of findings through detailed graphs. Authored the abstract summarizing the research and participated in ongoing efforts to complete the literature review and finalize the study.

• Public Health Research, Pedestrian Safety Auditor, Yerevan, Armenia (October 2023 - February 2024)
  
  Performed an audit of pedestrian safety infrastructure of the downtown region of Yerevan, Armenia, through in-person volunteer fieldwork data collection as a part of a public health research project led by Dr. Sharon Chekijian. Collaborated with auditing team to systematically collect data using the GIS cloud-based application, QField. Facilitated accurate data collection through weekly meetings with the auditing team and close communication with team leadership.

• Contributed to multiple initiatives with BIL Armenia, including authoring various articles on medicine and science for their Telegram channel. Volunteered during the National General Assembly, providing support for event coordination. Additionally, assisted with the “White Coats” project by selecting and preparing medical cases for students to analyze and solve.

• Completed a two-day ECG masterclass organized by the YSMU Cardiology Society, which included attending lectures and actively engaging with the instructors to deepen understanding of electrocardiography.
